Petsland Grooming Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Petsland, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Appointments and Deposit

A £30 deposit is required to secure each grooming appointment.

The deposit will be deducted from the final cost of the grooming service.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice.

If more than 48 hours’ notice is given, your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment.

If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the £30 deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to make another booking.

If a customer does not attend their appointment without notice (No-Show), Petsland reserves the right to charge up to the full price of the booked grooming service, taking into account the loss caused by the missed appointment.

Any outstanding No-Show or cancellation charge may need to be paid before a future appointment can be booked.

Grooming Prices

Our grooming prices vary depending on the breed, size, coat condition, temperament of the pet and the service required.

Dog grooming services generally start from approximately £49.

Full grooming services involving a haircut generally start from approximately £65.

The final price may be higher where additional time or work is required, including heavily matted coats, difficult coat conditions or challenging behaviour.

Where possible, we will inform you of any significant additional charges before carrying out additional work.

Fleas and Ticks

Please check your pet for fleas and ticks before bringing them to the salon.

If fleas or ticks are discovered during the grooming appointment, an additional £30 charge will apply.

This charge covers the additional cleaning and treatment required to sanitise and treat the salon and equipment before the next customer.

Matted Coats

Pets with heavily matted coats may need to be clipped short rather than dematted.

Removing severe matting can sometimes reveal existing skin irritation, sores, bruising or other conditions that were hidden underneath the coat.

Our priority is always the welfare and comfort of the pet.

Additional charges may apply where severe matting requires extra grooming time.

Pet Health

Customers must inform Petsland before the appointment of any known medical condition, allergy, injury, skin condition, recent operation or other health concern that may affect the grooming process.

Customers must also tell us if their pet is elderly, nervous, aggressive or has previously reacted badly during grooming.

If we believe continuing the groom could cause unnecessary distress, injury or risk to the pet or our staff, we may stop the grooming session.

Behaviour and Safety

The owner is responsible for informing Petsland of any previous aggressive, unpredictable or dangerous behaviour.

We reserve the right to stop or refuse a grooming service if we believe the behaviour of the pet creates an unreasonable risk to the pet, our staff or other animals.

If the grooming session has to be stopped because of the pet’s behaviour, aggression, stress or safety concerns, Petsland reserves the right to charge up to the full price of the booked grooming service, depending on the time reserved and the work already carried out.

Reasonable care and skill will always be used when handling and grooming your pet.

Existing Conditions

Grooming may sometimes reveal previously unnoticed conditions such as lumps, skin problems, ear problems, parasites or other health concerns.

If we notice something that we believe may require veterinary attention, we will inform the owner.

Petsland does not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment.

Veterinary Emergencies

In the unlikely event of an emergency during grooming, we will attempt to contact the owner immediately.

If we believe urgent veterinary care is necessary for the welfare of the pet and we cannot contact the owner, we may seek veterinary assistance where reasonably necessary.

The owner will normally be responsible for veterinary costs unless the injury was caused by negligence on the part of Petsland.

Collection

Customers should collect their pet promptly once they have been informed that grooming has been completed.

If you expect to be significantly delayed, please contact us as soon as possible.

Photographs

Petsland may occasionally take photographs of pets during or after grooming.

Photographs may be used for our website or social-media pages.

If you do not want photographs of your pet to be used, please let us know.

Personal information supplied during the booking process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
